For his series of portraits from Mali, Mehdi Nédellec was accompanied by a lighting assistant. Lambda colour silver print on RC Fujicolor Crystal Archive Professional Maxima Matte Paper. With white margins. Signed and numbered by the artist, on the bottom in the margin. Galerie Trans. Afrik Art certificate of authenticity. ©Mehdi. Nedellec Edition 2/10 Shipped without frame. Carefully packed in a flat position. Labo: Picto (Paris) Photographer Mehdi Nédellec visited Mali in February 2011. He settled for some time in a small village near Debekurumba located north of Nioro du Sahel, not far from the Mauritanian border. First, he respectfully observed the daily life of its inhabitants, taking interest in their habits, their activities, relationships and exchanges which punctuate the existence of a small rural community. Immersion phase. He gradually gained the population’s trust and managed to blend in while explaining the purpose of his trip and his approach as a portrait photographer. Mehdi returned from this stay with a series of portraits which are like fragments of life of this little community.
