Each painted in polychrome enamels and gilt on a crackled glaze, the first, an elongated moon flask with a Chinese beauty and attendants on a veranda, the reverse with a castle, the surrounding areas painted with a floral ground, signed Shozan; the second, a double gourd vase decorated with circular reserves of immortals and children, the shoulder and mouth with a geometric collar and a frieze of butterflies, with an illegible impressed signature Satsuma [] [] (2)
