Meissen Pair of Figural Sweetmeat Bowls. Female and male figures reclining with oval floral encrusted bowls, on blue and pink painted vases, parcel gilt throughout. Blue crossed sword marks to the undersides. '2858' inscribed to the female underside, 'No. 2863' inscribed to the males underside. Dresden, Germany. First quarter 20th century. {Approximate dimensions: 7 high x 12 1/2 wide x 6 1/2 inches deep.}. Condition: Loss/repair to female's toes. Repair chip to the male's bowl, and significant paint marks to the bowl. Minor loss to encrusted flowers. A thorough cleaning is necessary.
