Meissen (German, founded 1710) porcelain. Designed by Ernst August Leuteritz, the present lot is version two, which includes a horn in one of the cupid's hands. The centerpiece also includes a cupid with a lyre and a cupid with a bow; all cupids are riding dolphins. The plate features 3 cupids and a dolphin. It is stamped with the Meissen mark, model number, and '163' on the base.
Dimensions: 8 3/4 inches tall X 9 3/4 inches tall; 22.2 cm tall X 24.8 cm wide. All measurements are approximate.
Condition: First quality, small scatter spots of touchup; small firing defects.
