The History of Windsor Great Park and Windsor Forest..., Illustrated with photographs by the Earl of Caithness and Mr Bembridge, of Windsor, 1st edition, London: Longman, Green, Longman, Roberts and Green, 1864, 20 albumen photographs (including frontispiece) mounted with printed captions, plus 2 hand-coloured lithographed maps bound to rear (some creases), occasional spotting, gilt armorial bookplate of the Lloyd family to front pastedown, original green half morocco, rebacked preserving spine, gilt lettering to spine and upper board, boards lightly scuffed, folio (Quantity: 1) Provenance: The Lloyd Family (bookplate). The Earl of Caithness was Lord-in-Waiting to Queen Victoria and a founding member of the Amateur Photographic Association. He exhibited photographs of Windsor Forest at the International Exhibition of 1862, some of which probably feature in this book. William Bembridge was a Windsor-born photographer who frequently undertook commissions for the Queen including organising her private negatives.
