Mercedes-Benz - 190E Cabriolet AKH CARO - 1989

[ translate ]

Mercedes-Benz - 190E Cabriolet AKH CARO from 1989 in good overall condition. The car has original Italian RM plates.
Car of German origin with dual PETROL/LPG fuel.
\r
One of the rare 190 Es produced in miniseries under authorization from Mercedes, by the German tuner AKH-CARO.
There is no precise number on the creation of these special 190E Cabriolets, but various sources speak of just 14 cars built.
\r
As reported in the declaration accompanying the proposed car, this 190E was subjected by AKH-CARO to various modifications and reinforcements to the floor before going out on the road, which required a lot of development time, resulting in very high costs.
\r
This would be the reason why the 190E Cabrio was never mass produced.
Consequently, to this day this version remains a special out-of-series, ideal for collectors looking for rare objects produced in limited series.
\r
- Regularly registered, with "open" written on the registration document
- In the engine compartment there is a plate with the words “AKH/Caro”
- Sheet with list of works carried out for the transformation
\r
The interiors are preserved.
The bodywork has been repainted over the years.
Some bodywork defects shown in photos.
Missing fuel cap cover.
Hood in one region has a small tear.
Driver's front seats and rear bench with small tears.
Misalignment between the passenger side windows.
\r
2000 cc 122 hp engine combined with a 5-speed manual gearbox.
Good general mechanical condition, but a service may be required.
\r
Bottoms and underbody in good condition.
Engine compartment in order, without significant traces of rust with components still partly original.
\r
Accompanying Italian documents.
Last inspection carried out with regular outcome on: 02. 08. 2021.
From the booklet: "frame re-punched abroad".
ASI certificate of historical and collectible relevance available.
\r
Possibility of home delivery in Italy and abroad.
The car can be viewed and collected in Reggio Emilia, by appointment with Catawiki.
