Mercedes-Benz - 280SE - 1980

[ translate ]

This special Mercedes 280SE (W126 series) is in unique and completely original condition, it has done very few kilometres. This flagship car was available from 1979 to 1985. It stayed during its first years in its home country and moved to the Netherlands in 2009. The S was hardly used by its first owner. He wanted a standard Benz, no electric windows, air conditioning or automatic transmission. That could only cause more problems later (as the electronics get older) . However, it does have a nice electric sliding roof (a manual one wasn’t available!) which works perfectly. Just like the rest of the car. Everything is like new and the car drives as such. The engine runs beautifully, the 4 manual gears shift well and the car steers great. The Dutch owner barely drove with it. It therefore has less than 77,000 km on the counter. You can tell from the interior which is in mint condition. The aluminium rims are completely undamaged. The 280SE passed its Dutch periodic vehicle inspection with flying colours and is valid until 6/2020. It has become virtually impossible to find a W 126 in such new condition with low kilometres. This car can be viewed and collected in Bussum, the Netherlands. It is recommended to view the car prior to placing a bid in order to prevent disappointment afterwards.
