. Only 14,770 units were produced of this magnificent Mercedes convertible in 1987. The R107 replaced the W113 (Pagode) in 1971, it was succeeded in 1981 by the W126C for coupe models (SLC) , and in 1989 by the R129 for convertible models (SL) . Some changes regarding the engine were already implemented in 1976; the electronic (Bosch D-jetronic) was replaced by the mechanical (Bosch KA-jetronic) fuel injection in all models. In comparison with other engines on the American market, the Mercedes models were always poorly motorised. This is why Mercedes introduced the 560SL (BM107. 048) in 1983. The 5. 6-litre V8 engine (M117E52) produced 227 HP (4750 rpm) and 366 Nm (4000 rpm) . This 560 model was only available for the US market.

. This Mercedes is in an original condition (engine and transmission are both original) . The car starts immediately, shifts through all gears and idles nicely. The interior is original and is still in a neat condition (with the exception of a repaired piece on the driver's seat, see photo) . What makes this Mercedes special is that the original FIRST AID kit, toolkit and even the original Becker radio are present.

. Furthermore, the car is still relatively good in the Anthracite Grey Metallic paint (Paint code 172) (however, the paint has some very small signs of wear that can be expected given the age) . The engine compartment looks fresh and well-maintained and the hardtop is in a neat condition.
