Four items signed by a Mercury astronaut: a TLS signed â€Å“Donald K. Slayton,â€Â Project Mercury stationery, October 2, 1961, addressed to Marquita Park, in part: â€Å“I have enclosed an autographed photograph, as you requestedâ€Â; the referenced signed photo: a glossy 7.5 x 10 NASA portrait, signed and inscribed in black ink, â€Å“Best wishes to Marquita Park—Donald K. Slaytonâ€Â; and two glossy 8 x 10 photos of John Glenn and Gordon Cooper in their space suits, individually signed in felt tip, with Glenn adding the inscription, â€Å“To Laura—,â€Â and Cooper adding, â€Å“Best wishes to John Hilosky.â€Â In overall fine condition, with a surface impression on Slayton's chin from another item he signed on top of this one.
