Mesopotamian Terracotta Babylonian Cuneiform Tablet - 7×5×2.6 cm

A complete Old Babylonian clay tablet of good size with many lines of cuneiform writing front and back. Possibly a letter. Very Fine condition; a section broken away affecting part of the reverse and one side. 1900-1700 BC. Provenance: From a British 1980’s-1990’s collection of cuneiform which was examined in the 1980s by Professor Lambert, Professor of Archaeology at Birmingham University. Many of the tablets and pieces (but not this one) were accompanied by his own detailed notes with translations. This lot is Guaranteed to be Authentic and Genuine and will include a Certificate of Authenticity. The seller can prove that the lot was obtained legally, provenance statement seen by Catawiki.
