Ancient Near East, Mesopotamia, ca. late 3rd to early 2nd millennium BCE. A mold-formed pottery plaque with a smooth, rounded verso. The front of the plaque displays a striding figure in low relief atop a narrow platform who wears lengthy robes and holds one arm up in front of the cap-adorned head. Size: 2.125" W x 3.625" H (5.4 cm x 9.2 cm).
Provenance: The Dere Family Collection, New York, USA, assembled 1970's-2000's; ex-William Froelich Collection, New York, USA, acquired in 1970's
