Metal Jardiniere with Lion Handles

13 x 17 inches. A substantial, cylindrical jardiniere cast in a heavy metal alloy, likely bronze or copper. The vessel features a deep, straight-sided body with a thick, rolled rim and a secondary rolled molding near the base. It is supported by a spreading, flared pedestal foot. The sides are ornamented with two large, cast lion-mask handles. Each lion head is modeled with a detailed mane and stylized facial features, holding a heavy, shaped drop-ring handle in its mouth. The interior is unfinished and shows significant oxidation and mineral buildup consistent with use as a planter. No maker marks, signatures, or hallmarks are visible on the exterior or underside of the base.
