Inspired by the discovery of an ancient bleached sea shell in the artist's garden, 'Metamorphosis of a Broken Shell' bought Mills out of retirement in 1987 and re-ignited his passion for sculpting marble.
This listing is for a limited edition bronze with turquoise patina cast from an original white marble piece found and sculpted on the Greek Island of Paros.
