A wonderful Napoleon III sideboard In walnut wood with mahogany inlays, decorated with two angels, frames, friezes, decorations, coat of arms, studs, knob and handles in gilt bronze. With two separate drawers, with a chiselled bronze profile and a magnificent marble top, about 3 cm thick, with double wave at the edges, The thin drawer can be opened with two handles, and is equipped with a lock, key and decorated (in gilt bronze) , The second drawer at the bottom has a large bronze handle and it has an internal painting (diameter approx. 3. 2 cm, with protective glass) , as well as four others on the two side faces. Both locks can be opened with the same key (with a tassel) , as per photos. This work of art is completed by an oil painting on wood, signed by F. Trani (bottom left) , depicting a sweet damsel cooling off on the shores of the lake, like Aphrodite on the seashore. With beautiful and warm colours, accentuated by age.
