50mm medal suspended from Mexican tricolor ribbon. Obverse depicts two hemispheres with "CON LA TRIPLE GARANTIA", along with three rings marked "RELIGION, INDEPEDENCIA, UNION". Reverse with laurel wreath and "PRIMERA EPOCA". Issued by Emperor Augustin I in May 1822 to recognize non-commissioned officers in the "Army of the Three Guarantees" (Liberal Revolutionary Army) for their participation in the first months of the Mexican War for Independence from Spain in 1821. **Very good condition.
