Ferdinand VII gold 8 Escudos 1811 Mo-JJ MS61 NGC, Mexico City mint, KM160, Cal-1786, Onza-1258. Certainly in the upper tier of surviving examples for this scarcer of just two assayers for the date; indeed, we have handled only one finer--an MS64 which sold as part of our January 2009 NYINC sale #3004. Far nicer than the Eliasberg specimen (a mere XF Details) and an appealing opportunity for the type-set collector.
