Michael Harris (1933-1994) Mdina Glass Vase
Michael Harris (1933-1994) Fish vase, designed and made by Michael Harris, manufactured between 1968-1972, approx. 28.5 cms, etched signature to base. The vase of purple, blue and ochre colouring enclosed by a thick clear casing. [1] The Fish vases are considered as Michael's signature shape and present one of his most desirable designs both then and today. Nearly all Fish vases made between 1968-72 were made by Michael himself due to the complexity and sheer weight of the glass involved but also due to the lack of experience of other glassmakers working at the time.
