' followed by 'Sim. Vouet pinxit cum privil Reg. 1644 Mich Dorigny scul. In Italy 1611-27. . Father-in-law of Michel Dorigny. Michel Dorigny (1616-1665) Engraver and later painter. Son-in-law of Vouet, whose daughter he married in 1648, and father of Nicolas. Outstanding work. Excellent impression with several little scratches in the plate still visible. On fine quality watermarked laid paper (bunch of grapes) . Trimmed on plate border. Hand painted number in sepia ink in bottom right corner. On plate border: 287 x 204 mm. With left corners tipped on a nice watermarked laid paper with hand painted frame around the print. Sheet: 410 x 310 mm. With a painted frame hand drawn frame.
