Michel Henry (French, 1928 - 2016): Cote d'Azur.

Canvas 12" x 15" and in Frame 20" x 24".
Michel Henry (1928, Langres - 2016 Brétigny-sur-Orge) an important painter of French contemporary art, was 1951 graduate of the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux Arts of Paris. He won the first prize of the Maison Descartes in Amsterdam in 1956, and the Casa Velázquez price in 1957. Henry was exhibited by the Wally Findlay gallery, in New York, Chicago, Palm Beach, and in Paris on Avenue Matignon.
Michel-Henry was the Knight of the National Order of the Legion of Honor in 1981, Knight of Agricultural Merit in 1984, and received the Médaille de Vermeil of Paris in 1986, as well as the gold medal of the Salon des Artistes Français in 1977, of the Société Nationale d´ Horticulture of France in 1981, and the Salon Violet in 1991.
Winner of Gemmail International Biennale, president of the second meeting of contemporary art in Calvi in 1996, Michel-Henry is exhibited on the five continents.
