Michoacan Redware Incensario
**First Time At Auction**
Pre-Columbian, West Mexico, Michoacan, ca. 500 to 100 BCE. A fabulous pottery incensario presenting a tubular shaft and a circular bowl with a shallow basin. Enveloped in a vibrant sienna-hued glaze, the ancient vessel is incised with an annular hole at the end of its shaft, as well as 2 short slits along the top. A series of 5 drill holes perforate the center of the bowl, which is slightly recessed. Size: 7.75" L x 3.75" W x 1.875" H (19.7 cm x 9.5 cm x 4.8 cm)
