[ translate ]

Microcline var. Amazonite & Quartz var. Smoky Jack Rabbit Mine, Lake George, Teller Co., Colorado, USA "This specimen was dug by Bob Bartsch and myself during six weeks in the summer of 1986? [sic] At that time we dug .624 tons of amazonite and smoky quartz and a few other specimens." - Rock H. Currier If Rock's description for this Amazonite and Smoky Quartz sounds familiar, it's because it is ... Rock just cut and pasted the same description for each of his Colorado Amazonite specimens. Rock and Bob Bartsch hit it big in 1983 ... Bob had figured out there was a sliver of property that he could lay claim to (one that others had missed) and they went out there for over a month that summer just to dig. And dig they did. Needless to say, but we'll say it, anyway, Rock kept the best for himself ... unless it went to Bob. Overall Measurements: 6.1 x 3.3 x 2.6 inches (15.5 x 8.5 x 6.5 cm) Offered at no reserve Provenance: Collected by Rock Currier and Bob Bartsch, summer of 1983 [RHC #5663] [Scale: 1 inch, with mark at 1 cm]
