Mid 20th c. Louis Vuitton hardside suitcase, 31-1/2"L x 19"H x 8-1/2" D, in partial classic stamped monogram, with top and single side with monogram significantly lighter, and tacked leather trim surround in embossed LV stripe. Case is reinforced with brass mounted and wrapped corners at lid top with LV stamped rivet surround. double brass lock and latch closures at either side of case, reading 'surete' and vachetta leather handle with yellow stitching. Interior lined in tacked linen, retaining paper tag reading "Louis Vuitton LV 805549 Paris 70 Champs-Elysees 149 New Bond St. London, Nice Jardin Albert, Cannes 19 Rue Des Belges, Vichy Rue Du Parc' and 'Bought From Saks & Company Fifth Avenue New York'. Item includes keys and luggage tag, some damage to trim on back corner.
