Mid-C. Roman Soldier Costume Components

A set of men's theatrical costume components designed to represent a Roman soldier, including a leather cuirass, a metal helmet, a pair of leather boots, and a decorative leather belt accessory. The cuirass is constructed from tan leather with horizontal bands of dark green leather featuring a metallic finish and features a button-down front closure with four brass-toned buttons. The shoulders and waist are trimmed with leather strips decorated with silver-toned domed metal studs. The interior is lined with a blue textile finished with red fringe. The helmet is made of brass-toned metal in a dome shape with a reinforced rim and decorative rivets. The high-top tan leather boots feature multiple black metal buckle closures and side cut-outs, with leather soles that have metal nails embedded in the heels. The tan leather belt accessory features two wide hanging flaps with embossed gold-toned scrolling vine borders. The underside of one boot sole is impressed with the numbers 1 0 (photo 9). No other maker marks, studio stamps, or labels are visible.
