Mid-Century Export Asian Porcelain Pair of Fishbowl
This elegant, colorful, vintage fishbowl was created in Hong Kong or China, circa 1960. Round in shape, the large mid-century porcelain bowl or planter was created with Greek key border, features Classic Orientals scenes with western civilization style figural reserves and foliate motifs. The bowl was painted on the inside as well with traditional koi fish illustration motif. Most of the exterior work is hand made in relief with vibrant multi-colors palette and gilt accents over the green background. Could be used as a decoration piece or a planter. It is hard to find two alike vases as these and in these great conditions. We must mention that one of them has 2 small chips at the edge, not larger than ½ cm each. One has height or q4: and a diameter of 17". The second vase, has a height of 14.75" and a diameter of 16.75".Local pick-up of freight shippingfrom Burbank, CA.
