Mike Mignola Batman Black and White Volume 2 Unpublished Back Cover Original Art (DC, 2002). Batman lurks in the shadows atop a Gotham City spire, ready to cast his Batrope and swing into action in this illustration from Hellboy creator Mike Mignola. Created for the back cover of the second hardcover volume in DC's Batman Black and White series, the artist aspired to show as little detail as possible while still making it instantly recognizable as Batman. However, the publisher commissioned Mignola to create a slightly more detailed version for the printed edition, making this the only place you'll ever see Mignola's original intent!
