Miklos Rozsa Signed Book
Signed book: Double Life. First edition. NY: Wynwood Press, 1989. Hardcover with dust jacket, 6.25 x 9.5, 256 pages. Signed and inscribed on the half-title page in blue ink, "For Matthew, from, Miklos Rozsa, 1990." In fine condition.
During his Hollywood career, Rozsa received 17 Academy Award nominations, winning three Oscars for Spellbound (1945), A Double Life (1947), and Ben-Hur (1959). Additionally, he composed quite a few important film noir scores, including Double Indemnity, The Killers, Brute Force, Naked City, The Asphalt Jungle, and The Strange Love of Martha Ivers. The reason Rozsa's autograph appears 'shaky' is because he suffered from the nerve and muscle disorder myasthenia gravis. As such, signed copies of his autobiography are scarce.
