Replica Silver Eagle of the Imperial French 22nd Regiment of the Line captured by the 30th Regiment of Foot (Cambridgeshire) at Salamanca. This very fine depiction is cast from the original that was in the East Lancashire Regimental Museum, one talon missing from the eagle’s left foot and all three lacking on the eagle’s right foot (most likely as per the original eagle). It measures 24 x 26 cms and is mounted on a rectangular wooden pedestal, this bearing a hall marked silver plate ‘Replica of the Salamanca Eagle captured by Ensign John Pratt of the 30th Foot at the Battle of Salamanca 22 July 1812’. Together with a replica cap badge of the East Lancashire Regiment, the Eagle of very fine quality £2,000-£3,000
