Third edition, 2 volumes bound in one, folio (413 x 260mm.), 300 hand-coloured engraved plates (2 folding), later crushed red morocco elaborately gilt by Galvan, gilt turn-ins and edges, new endpapers, slipcase, occasional spotting or dampstaining

“Executed by leading botanical artists, including Georg Ehret, and with practical text, these made two handsome folio volumes, commended at the time for being drawn from nature in the best state of flowering, and for including illustrations of fruit and seed as they ripened” (ODNB).
