MILO, Jean "La nappe verte". 1980 Aquarelle with traces of pencil, 45,2 x 37,5 cm, signed and dated "Juillet 1980". Under passe-partout and frame (not studied outside frame). Jean Milo (1903-1993) was the pseudonym of Belgian author and artist Émile Van Gindertael. He was also a poet, essayist and novelist. As a painter, he was influential over Edgard Tytgat who wrote a biography about him. In 1986 The Royal Museum of Fine Arts of Belgium held a Retrospective exhibition.
