[ translate ]

Property from the Maharam Family Collection
Mimmo Paladino
b. 1948

Untitled
incised with the artist’s signature, number 1/1 and date 97 (on the base)
painted and patinated bronze
99 ¼ by 76 by 27 ⅛ in.
252.1 by 193 by 68.9 cm.
Executed in 1997, this work is number 1 from an edition of 1.

Condition Report:
This work is in good and sound condition overall. There are tonal variations to the patina and textural variations to the surface, which appear to be in line with the artist's working method and chosen media. There are scattered areas of pale green oxidation to the surface throughout, which is also inherent to the natural aging process of the artist’s chosen media. Upon further close inspection, there is evidence of wear and handling to the base, including a few scattered unobtrusive surface scratches. As expected with a sculpture of this construction a layer of dust and debris have settled on the surface and in the crevices.

Provenance:
Waddington Galleries, Ltd., London

Acquired from the above in January 2001 by the present owner
