Biography: Minerva is a Spanish descent Cuban-born artist who exited the island in the late sixties and established herself in Miami, FL. She studied at one of the best art schools in Cuba at a time where the island was flourishing. Her trayectory has led her to participate in multiple expositions and she is well know in the Cuban community of the country. Her art is always reminiscent of the tropical Caribbean island of her youth with a preference for tropical colors and warm tones. Most of her work depicts very elaborate oil on canvas cock fights and her series of Latin gaucho boys and girls, surrounded by tropical fruits, sugar cane and tobacco plantations, and of course roosters.
