1970's Minerva Two Register Valjoux 23, ref. 9075 AF brown dial 39mm. An unusual watch that shares the same case as the 9075 Olimpico but with a different dial and movement, but indeed odd with a Minerva and Valjoux signature. What is certain is the the inner caseback never had the GP logo; it has the same numbering scheme with 953xxx but Minerva engraved in the back (in all the GP variants it is the same but has a circular GP logo; this caseback has never been polished so it is clear that the case never was GP. . . . this would make sense: these cases would have been made for GP by a casemaker. Minerva in the 1970s was a strange outfit, a shadow of their former selves they were labelling other peoples watches as their own.
