Miniature Lacquer Jar & Kogo Box, Gen Stilwell
Two Japanese decorative objects, early 20th century. Comprised of a miniature black lacquer jar with a gold lacquer design of waterweeds and a gilt metal interior, 1.5" high, 1.5" diameter. Together with a gilt lacquer circular kogo incense box decorated with a flowering plum branch, 2-5/8" diameter, 1.25" high.
PROVENANCE: Ex. collection of General Joseph Warren Stilwell (1883-1946) via his grandson, son of Winifred Stilwell Cox (daughter of General Stilwell).
