Roman, Imperial Period, ca. 1st to 4th century CE. A collection of ancient glass miniature bottles and an intriguing fish ornament! The tiny bottles are adorable- thimble sized amounts for storing perfumes or scented oils. The glass fish was made by trailing and coiling glass around the body, pulling the tail outward, and molding the ribbing while the glass was still molten. Size: 1.8" L x 0.75" W (4.6 cm x 1.9 cm)

Provenance: East Coast collection, New York Gallery, New York City, New York, USA, acquired before 2010
