Miniature Rugs & Textiles Collection

An assortment of four small-scale textiles including pile-woven rugs, a rag rug, and a flat-weave tapestry. The group features two rectangular pile rugs with floral and foliate patterns in contrasting color palettes; one with a dark navy or black field and the other with a red field, both finished with knotted cream fringes. Also included is a rectangular flat-weave rug constructed from woven fabric strips in a vertical striped pattern of yellow, orange, white, blue, and black, finished with white fringe at both ends. The final piece is a flat-weave wool tapestry featuring a red field centered with mirrored bird motifs in black, yellow, and orange positioned above a geometric vessel, flanked by black stepped border elements. This tapestry is finished with white fabric binding at the top and bottom edges. Small white labels are visible on the edges or reverse of the pieces, but the text and markings are not legible (photo 1, 4). A white plastic tag fastener remains attached to the upper left corner of the red bird tapestry (photo 4).
