Unusual and refined table screen, entirely in ivory with hiramaki-e lacquer decorations, and inlaid applications in the shibayama technique of mother of pearl, turtle and coral with naturalistic motifs with eagle and Manchurian crane fighting on one side and on the opposite side another Manchurian crane in flight. Two stylised baku with Tama (sacred Buddhist jewel) between the jaws on the sides of the panel to complete the work. Signed Tokosai in gold lacquer. In very good condition. The lot will be carefully packed and shipped within 1 or at most 2 business days from the day of payment. The shipping price includes delivery via UPS, TNT, DHL or SDA courier (depending on destination address) with full insurance and professional packaging. Original certificate compiled by Luca Mastromauro, an expert in Japanese art, registered with Milan Chamber of Commerce (number: 2617) , which will be sent with the lot.
