Minton Majolica Cream-Ground Recumbent 'Gun Dog' Game-Pie Dish and Cover

Impressed uppercase mark and 12, shape no. 964, black painted T to base and cover interior
Molded as an oval basket, the bound branch handles with leafing holly terminals, the shallow domed cover with a bird dog resting on a powder flask, a rifle and a game-bag, the side with either a panel of a running hare or a pheasant, on four paw feet, turquoise interior. Width overall 14 1/4 inches.
