Minyulite Edison Bird Mine, Utahlite Hill, Lucin, Lucin District, Pilot Range, Box Elder Co., Utah, USA "A vug in limonite containing prismatic radiating pale yellow green prismatic crystals of minyulite lining the vug. In the vug is a radiating pincushion like ball of needles about 1.8 cm across. This may be the best best [sic] specimen of minyulite known. Got the specimen from James Zigras. The scale under the specimen is an inch with a rule at one cm." - Rock H. Currier Rock must have been taken with this rare treasure: he manages to use "prismatic" twice in the same sentence, along with "vug", and further along he uses "best" twice in a row. This specimen represents a bulletproof opportunity to get one over on your "rare mineral" collecting friends. There's not a whole lot of this mineral, this good, out there - and most of the time it's micromounts, not a substantive cabinet specimen like this. Be nice, since there's also a mine name attached to it: rare mineral freaks go for that kind of thing. Overall Measurements: 2.0 x 2.8 x 2.8 inches (5.0 x 7.0 x 7.0 cm) Offered at no reserve Provenance: Bought from James Zigras [RHC #7986, acquired 2006] MinID CLK-GH8 [Scale: 1 inch, with mark at 1 cm]
