Mirror - Louis XV Style - Gilt, Wood - Late 19th century
Beautiful wooden mirror with beautiful crest in rocaille with 5 curls flared in leaf motif with a flower at the bottom. The frame is tight with a moulding edge and against the glass a small protruding edge. First, the mirror has a 'gesso' on the wood, which is patinated in red with leaf gold on it. As a result, the frame has a nice warm colour. The back has an old hook, but also two small hooks with wire. The back is taped with a burgundy paper on board.
