The ceramic mug is c.4.1/4" [10.8cm] high, 3" x 5" [7.7cm x 12.7cm] including handle, no chips, no hairlines, no creases, very good condition.
Sigma was an American company specializing on importing and distributing gift wares. Founded in the late 1960's in New York City, Sigma was the gift ware division of its parent company, Rockville International, which was located in Garden City, New York.
Henson & Assoc. was a company founded by James [Jim] Maury Henson (1936-1990), who was an American puppeteer, animator, cartoonist, actor, inventor, and filmmaker who achieved worldwide notability as the creator of the Muppets. Henson was also well known for creating Fraggle Rock (1983–1987) and as the director of The Dark Crystal (1982) and Labyrinth (1986).
He coined the term Muppets as a meld of marionettes and puppets. His characters and those of his assistants included such familiar figures as Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, Big Bird, and the Cookie Monster.
