Mixed Media Frog Sculpture, Carved Wood

This mixed media sculpture features a realistic frog figure perched on a naturalistic landscape element, mounted to a substantial wooden support. The frog, rendered with green pigment and three prominent cream-colored longitudinal stripes, is constructed from a hard material such as painted terracotta or a composite resin. It features dark, glass-like eyes and detailed anatomical features. A small black numeral 3 is painted on the frog's upper back between the stripes. The frog sits upon a slab of textured bark or stone, which is accented with clusters of preserved reindeer moss in shades of chartreuse and forest green. This entire assembly is attached to the exterior of a semi-cylindrical base carved from a single piece of wood with a smooth, clear-finished vertical grain. A white rectangular adhesive tag is located on the upper interior rim of the wooden base and bears the handwritten numeral 426. Traces of adhesive are visible where the central mount meets the wooden base.
