A signed and dated Estelle Goodman (1930-2007, American) painted plaster bust of a male figure. This bust is presented with an all over black painted surface. Signed and dated on the back of the neck Estelle Goodman 6/20/57. In good condition with some nicks and chips as photographed. Measures approximately 8.75 in high by 5 in wide by 6.75 in deep. ARTIST BIO: Estelle Goodman (1930-2007, American) was a modernist expressionist painter and sculptor during the mid 20th Century in New York. Ms. Goodman resided at the fabled Majestic on Central Park West at 72nd Street in Manhattan and had an art studio in her apartment. This work is from the Collection of Estelle Goodman. A collection that has only now been rediscovered. Her artist studio home had been vacant and under lock and key since 2007. The works in this fresh to the market trove of modernist, expressionist, abstract and mid century paintings and sculpture are on the market for the first time in decades.
