Provenant d'une Collection Particulière
Moïse Kisling
1891 - 1953
Paysage

signé Kisling (en bas à gauche); signé et inscrit M. KISLING 3. RUE BARA PARIS (VIe) (au dos)
huile sur toile
65,5 x 81 cm ; 25¾ x 31⅞ in.
Executé vers 1917.

Cette œuvre sera incluse dans le Volume IV et Additifs aux Tomes I, II et III du Catalogue raisonné de l'œuvre de Moïse Kisling actuellement en préparation par Marc Ottavi.

Condition Report:
The work has been examined framed. The canvas is strip lined. Inspection under UV light reveals a thick milky varnish through which UV light cannot fully penetrate, but does reveal a few small spots and lines of retouching, including a few spots to the centre of the lower edge, a tiny spot in the sky towards the centre of the upper edge, a fine line in the central mountain, fine lines to the upper right corner, a spot to the centre of the left edge and a spot to the upper left quadrant, the latter of which appears to relate to a repaired tear. There are fine lines of craquelure and paint shrinkage largely to the thicker areas of pigment. There are tiny pigment losses in places. There is some frame abrasion with associated minor pigment losses to the extreme edges. This work is in overall good condition.

Provenance:
Léo Netter, Paris (before 1966 and thence by descent)

Christie's Paris, 31 March 2016, lot 239 (consigned by the above)
