Molly J. Schiff (1927–2018), Standing Female Nude, Profile (Figure Study), mid 20th century

Ink and wash figure study on brown paper depicting a standing female nude shown in profile, with a chair lightly indicated behind the figure. Executed with delicate linear drawing and subtle white and brown washes, the composition emphasizes posture, balance, and quiet observation rather than detailed anatomy. The restrained palette and economical line reflect Molly J. Schiff’s modern figurative approach and her sustained interest in the human form as an expressive subject. Dimensions: 25 x 39 in.
