Provenance:A Vintage Monkey on Ball of String Chalk Ware String Holder. Unique design with wonderful detail to string holder. Monkey is sitting on top of ball of string scratching his / her head. Great bold color & surface. Has wire hanger. String Holders were used in Country Stores & Kitchens to tie packages. During the 1940's most homes in America had a string holder of some sort.
