Monstrance (1) - Gothic Style - Silver gilt - Early 20th century

Silver-plated monstrance. Made late 19th century. The monstrance is set with 29 rose cut diamonds. The original case is still present. The two largest diamonds are in the earrings (6 mm diameter) these earrings are inspected 14 carat gold (oak leaf) and made in such a way that the earrings belong to the monstrance. The earrings were probably from the pastor's mother and he had them mounted on the monstrance The diamonds are around the opening of the monstrance where the lunula belongs. And in the cross on top is another pearl, and small diamonds. Signed: Billaux Grosse Bruxelles The monstrance weighs 2022 grams. The height of the monstrance is 54. 5 cm. And the width is 22 cm. Diameter base is 16 cm. There is no Lunula. Silver is slightly oxidised and can be polished.
