Monstrance - Silver 834/000 - Early 19th century

An empire-style ostensory made of embossed silver with neoclassical decoration motifs. Base resting on two small feet decorated with acanthus leaves and pods, vase shaped support, upper part decorated in the shape of a garland of leaves and flowers, joined by a bow. Dimensions: height 40 cm, maximum base width 16 cm, maximum width at the top 17. 5 cm. The oval section containing the relic is precisely 5. 8 x 4. 7 cm. The wooden part was damaged by woodworms and no longer usable. The central section, below the oval, has the marks of the silversmith and the assayer, for title testing and warranty.
