Platinum-plated lines are grouped around the cap into a thin grid pattern, which represents the curvature of space-time. The dark blue background reflects the depth of the infinite universe. An artistic engraving of the element einsteinium (Es) , named after the genius, decorates the rhodium-plated solid 750 gold tip made by hand.
