Every detail of the Limited Edition Alexander von Humboldt is a tribute to the great naturalist and patron of culture. Every detail of this Limited Edition reflects its explorer spirit. The barrel and cap of the 4810 edition have been made of grenadilla wood, a luxurious and noble wood from the southern hemisphere. The inlays, clip and details are made of 925 sterling silver, reminiscent of the indigenous art that Humboldt studied during his expedition to South America. The platinum-plated 18-karat gold nib is engraved with one of Humboldt's favourite instruments, a sextant which he used in his exploration journeys around the world. The barrel and cap of the 888 edition are crafted from black onyx, creating a sublime contrast to the 750 gold finishes.
