Monumental Meissen elements ewer. Modeled after J.J. Kaendler with a relief of naval scene flanked by figures of Neptuen, a mermaid and galloping horses. The circular flaring base with spouting dolphins among bulrushes, the underside with under-glaze blue crossed swords mark, circa 1870.
